The Inception Meeting marked the official launch of S20 Brasil 2024 and brought together representatives from the National Academies of Sciences of G20 countries, national and international observer organizations, and guests. The Summit’s main objective was the approval of thematic documents and the official communiqué of S20 Brasil 2024, concluding the process initiated in the March meeting.

The S20 Inception Meeting marked the official beginning of S20 Brazil 2024 and brought together representatives from the national Academies of sciences of the G20 countries, national and international observer organizations, and invited participants.
During the meeting, S20 members had the opportunity to present their considerations on the topics introduced by the S20 Brazil 2024 task forces. Additionally, high-level speakers delivered presentations to stimulate the discussions. Observer organizations and invited participants also had the opportunity to contribute.
Finally, the national Academies of sciences convened to collectively define the next steps in the development process of thematic documents and the official communiqué of the S20 Brazil 2024.
